In a couple of weeks I start bike ed, which is where we learn how to ride on roads safely. We need to have a proper bike and helmet. Our bikes need to have gears, front brakes, reflectors and a working chain.

Before we start bike ed, we have our bikes and helmets checked. Then we can go for some rides around the neighbourhood.

In term 3 (next term) we get to go on a camp for 3 days and do some long bike rides and stay in a cabin. This should be so much fun.  We don’t take our own bikes on the camp, but we get to use special bikes.   Here is a picture of my bike:

I have a ginger cat called Garfield. He is a nice and funny cat that thinks he owns the whole house. When we first went to the pet shop he was meowing at the cage while the others turned there backs at us and stared out the other end of the cage. So we bought him and called him Garfield.

On the 25th of April we remember the soldiers in the war and how they protected our country. I am thankful and i hope you are too.

My favourite flower is called a Blue Tiger Lily.  It is a really pretty flower  and I wish I had them in my garden.   The Blue Tiger Lily is a type of oriental lily and originally came from China.  It was then introduced to the United Kingdom in the 1800′s and now you can see them all over the world.   There are many other colours of Tiger Lily including orange, pink, cream and red.   They look really lovely in flower arrangements or in a vase.

It is so close to Christmas! I can not wait until Christmas Eve when we wrap up other people’s presents for the next day. This year we are having Christmas lunch at our house. I am hoping to get a grown-up jewellery box and a bookshelf for my room. Some Blingles would be nice too!    I would like to say thank you to Santa, for all his hard work every year.  Gee, those elves must be tired!

At school we are learning about toys and simple machines. This week we are going to build our own simple machine.We get to name our machines and the name for mine is “Secret Heart”. We had to write very detailed instructions and draw a plan that had to be labelled. Also this week, we are going to Scienceworks to learn a bit more about this topic. Today we went to Adventure Park for my Dad’s work Christmas party.   My sister and I had loads of fun.
